Prokopios Krikris has been handling charter party claims since 2011. He is a claims manager of a ship management company of bulk carriers based in Greece. He worked previously as a post fixtures operator & claims executive for shipowners and charterers of a considerable fleet of bulk carriers, operated under time or voyage terms. Handling hundreds of claims in the charter party chain provided him with practical knowledge of the critical issues involved in the dispute resolution process and the ability to understand each party’s side in the dispute. Before that, he worked as operations manager in a small fleet of tankers and was actively involved in day-to-day operational issues, including a high volume of P&I and FD&D claims.
Prokopios Krikris holds an MSc in Maritime Studies, an LLM in Maritime Law (Distinction) and Lloyds’ certifications in Laytime & demurrage and tanker operations. He is a supporting member of the LMAA and member of SCMA, HKMAG, and CIArb.
