Can I receive any training?
BEWA meets frequently at the Baltic Exchange, inviting a variety of industry practitioners to present short papers on various aspects of the maritime industry, focusing where possible on the role of an expert witness. Senior BEWA members are on hand at these meetings, for informal guidance and advice.
On request, gratis, senior BEWA members offer private mentoring, both generally or within their specialist field, to all other members.
For those interested in professional expert witness training, both Bond Solon and the Expert Witness Institute offer structured courses at the respective published scales of fees of these organisations.
Prospective and existing BEWA members are invited to approach these organisations directly on an individual basis.
All experts are responsible for setting their fees directly with the instructing party.
