I have over 23 years’ experience in the Maritime Industry, including over 13 years as a Maritime Pilot. My expert credentials in Pilotage are underpinned via Authorisations held across 3 major UK port areas, encompassing a deep and varied range of experience, across all vessel types.

I am currently serving as an Authorised First-Class Pilot in the Bristol Channel and Severn Estuary, a complex area notable for the highest tidal range in the UK and the second highest in the world.

I have an extensive background in Marine and Port Operations, with experience as Pilotage Manager, Harbour Master, Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) Manager, Marine Advisor to the Designated Person under the Port Marine Safety Code (PMSC) and Port Business Manager, in addition to project managing a wide range of varied marine operational and technical projects.

My seagoing experience spans all ranks to Master; sailing in command on both Ro-Pax and High-Speed Craft (HSC).
