Active both in international and Jones Act markets for tankers, dry bulk, containership, offshore and inland assets.
Basil has worked with court-mandated proceedings, legal and regulatory cases, including appointment as Liquidation Trust by the High Court of the Republic of the Marshall Islands for the sale of pelagic tuna fishing vessels in Majuro. Basil has also prepared Industry Section reports for SEC filings of shipping companies and Vessel Valuation reports filed with the SEC, courts and the Singapore Stock Exchange.
Basil is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and holds an MBA in international business and finance from Rice University in Texas. Basil holds the FICS accreditation with the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and is Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) for Machinery and Technical Specialties with the American Society of Appraisers.
