Alexander has 30 years’ experience within the shipping industry. He started his career in shipping as a combined officer with Shell before coming ashore and working a variety of roles, including project management, on shipping and trading desks, first with Shell, then Glencore and other shipping and trading companies. Has handled all aspects/roles from Demurrage, claims, operations, and some chartering experience and currently established within the senior management team of the Oil Tanker division in a leading ship owning organisation, based in London.

A combination of both on and offshore experience, in LNG LPG Oil, liquid products, Methanol, easy chemicals, has a proven track record of successfully dovetailing both commercial operations with technical and managerial aspects of running a fleet of oil and products tankers.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with honours, is a fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and also holds Fellow Engineer at IMarEST and FICS.
